Any school counselor, coach, teacher, booster organization, pastor, person familiar with a family in need or a family who is in genuine need of assistance.

Please fill out the "Request Help" form on the website to submit requests.

Any student in preschool through senior year of high school in need who lives in Milton, Ona, or Barboursville and their surrounding areas. Basically, if the student goes to Cabell Midland High School or any feeder school of CMHS they would be considered. If you need further clarification you can contact us at info@movkids.org.

MOV Kids does not provide blanket funds to any organizations. Because the mission of MOV Kids is providing direct funding and resources to particular kids in need, a blanket check for a team or organization does not help us achieve our goal. However, if there are school teams and organizations with individual students in particular need those students would be considered. For example, a request for a donation check to CMHS Athletic Boosters for “cheerleading” would not be considered. But a request for scholarships to assist a few individual cheerleaders who genuinely need assistance would be considered with the understanding that any assistance would go directly to those particular cheerleaders in need.

MOV Kids is short for “The Miltonaville Kids Foundation, Inc” Miltonaville is the geographical area of Milton, Ona, and Barboursville, WV (and their surrounding areas). The “M” in MOV Kids represents Milton. The “O” in MOV Kids represents Ona. The “V” in MOV Kids represents Barboursville as in “Ville” or “Village”. MOV Kids is pronounced “move kids” as in moving kids forward toward achieving their dreams.

Because the organization is brand new, MOV Kids does not know how much funding will be available and how many scholarship requests for assistance MOV Kids will receive. At this time, MOV Kids will consider all requests but will likely be limited initially.

A scholarship is any financial award or contribution of resources that a kid may need to assist them in reaching their goals. MOV Kids will offer different amounts and levels of scholarships to deserving kids based on the amount of resources and number of requests at a given time.

YES! It is very important to us that any requests to MOV Kids be kept completely confidential and any distribution of scholarships also be as discreet as possible.
